Healthy proprieties of the Iberian pork products.
Historically, there have always existed prejudices against pork meat, since as we all know, it is very greasy. However, recent studies are recognizing more healthy advantages regarding this product.
Its high content in iron could help improve the quality of our bones, as some studies are showing: one from the University of Utah, USA, and another one from the Hospital of Northwick Park, UK, fundamental for the prevention of osteoporosis in women.
Moreover, from Juan Pedro Domecq we confirm that the Iberic Ham has a high content in vitamins type b and minerals, as well as in zinc and iron, which we have already mentioned.
It is very important to highlight that the Bellota Iberic Ham, raised in montanera, is the one with the higher amount of unsatured fat acids, with all the benefits implied, associated to our health. We affirm, therefore, that the iberic pig's fat is beneficial since their products favor, among others, the cardiovascular health, helping to diminish our level of LDL cholesterol.
